Ian, along with his wife Caroline, leads a dynamic team specialising in Real Estate Sales, Property Management, and Small-Scale Property Development. With decades of hands-on experience and a genuine passion for helping clients succeed, Ian delivers a personalised, full-service real estate experience that truly sets him apart.
Ian’s real estate journey began in 1997 — quite accidentally — when he won two properties at a London auction. Those first investments doubled in value within a few years, sparking the creation of a small development company in Manchester, UK, where he went on to purchase, renovate, and flip or hold nearly 30 homes.
In 2003, Ian and Caroline made the bold decision to relocate their young family to Barrie, Canada. He hit the ground running, quickly acquiring a six-plex and earning his real estate license in 2005. With a background in investment banking and trading, Ian found a natural home helping clients maximise their real estate returns.
Over the years, Ian has built an impressive and diverse track record — from land acquisitions and office buildings to luxury properties, multi-family investments, flips, and hard-money lending. He co-founded a joint venture focused on adding value through second and garden suites in the Collingwood area and has served as Broker of Record at Keller Williams Barrie.
Ian holds the Fellow of the Real Estate Institute of Canada (FRI) designation and the Resort and Second-Home Property Specialist (RSPS) designation. In 2018, he was engaged by Humber University as a Subject Matter Expert to help redesign the training curriculum for new Realtors.
He maintains preferred Realtor relationships with Scott McGillivray and Keyspire, and with Wealth Genius as a preferred Vendor. Ian also proudly serves BGRS, supporting relocation programs for the Canadian Armed Forces, Government of Canada, and RCMP, and acts as a Real Estate Valuations Realtor for the Ontario Public Guardian and Trustee.
His deep investment knowledge, combined with active oversight of the property management division, makes Ian a trusted authority on Landlord/Tenant matters — regularly called upon by fellow Realtors for complex tenanted transactions and offer drafting.
When he’s not immersed in real estate, you’ll find Ian in the cockpit as a keen amateur pilot, or on the golf course with friends. (This Realtor has wings !)
